Mechanical Engineer - Austin, TX

Applied Thermal Technologies LLC is searching for a highly qualified candidate to join our growing thermal engineering consulting services team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will interact with some of the biggest names in the Electronics Industry, providing thermal design services using CAE and laboratory measurements. You will also provide expert advice and guidance on the use of QFin in design and optimization of heat sinks for all types of electronics equipment including telecom, networking, consumer, medical, power, military and aerospace systems. You will be directly involved in the marketing and sales of our services and thermal software. You will also provide technical assistance to our sales activities, publish technical papers, and make presentations at industry conferences. This demanding and high growth position is ideal for the candidate who is flexible with broad understanding of technical and business issues.

A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field or a M.Sc. degree with 5 years industrial experience is required. A strong background in computational and experimental fluid mechanics and heat transfer are a must. The right candidate will have outstanding engineering, analytical, presentation, and writing skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds. Candidates will be required to demonstrate a business inclination, the ability to work effectively in a team, and a willingness to accept new challenges and responsibilities within our rapidly growing organization. A proven sales experience is a definite advantage for this position.

Thermal Engineering Technician

In this position, you will be directly responsible for replicating our successful business model to develop and grow a new consulting business to serve the entire East Coast region in the area of electronics cooling.
